About Dr. Barclay

Dr. David Barclay is a Board Certified Family Physician, a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and a Fellow of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia.  

Dr. Barclay attended Haverford College in the 70′s where he graduated with a degree in Philosophy. He earned his medical degree at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans where he also completed a Masters Degree in Public Health (MPH). He completed his Residency at the University of Maryland, Department of Family and Community Medicine. After Residency Dr. Barclay served on the faculty of the University of Maryland, Department of Family and Community Medicine. In 1997 he joined the faculty at Temple University School of Medicine in the Department of Family and Community Medicine where he worked for 15 years.

He opened his own private practice in Philadelphia in 2012. Dr. Barclay provides primary care based on the latest medical evidence for screening, diagnosis and treatment.

In addition to primary care Dr. Barclay treats opioid use disorder using buprenorphine (Suboxone, Zubsolv, Generics).

He accepts all major private insurance plans and Medicare.
